Tim BellTim Bell

Tim Bell is a painter in the American Impressionist tradition. A native Marylander, Tim currently resides south of Annapolis, Maryland. Tim draws inspiration from the areas beaches, waterways and hillsides. His most recent awards include "Best Marine Painting" and "Artist's Choice Award" at the 5th Annual Plein Air Easton! in 2009. He participated in the Paint Wayne Event this year winning "Second Place" and the Allegeny Plein Air where he was awarded "First Place" In 2008 he won the "Vanishing Landscape Award" at the Plein Air Easton. In 2006 he was awarded the "Grand Prize" and "Best Marine Painting" at the annual event in Easton, Maryland. In 2006 he also won "First Place" in the Rehoboth Beach Paint Out, Delaware. Tim was also listed in the "Pick of the Palette Top Ten Contemporary Painters to Collect in Delaware" by Delaware Beach Life. Tim received the "People's Choice Award" and the "Best Use of Light Award" at the Plein Air Easton, 2007. Tim has exhibited his paintings from Pasadena, California to Portland, Maine to Key West, Florida. His paintings hang in private collections throughout the United States, Italy and Great Britain and are included in the permanent collection of Frostburg State University.

Leah BellLeah Bell

Leah Bell (nee Torney) graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Painting from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. She studied Northern Italian Renaissance Art in Florence her Junior year. Following her graduation she returned to Florence, Italy to attend the Charles Cecil Studio and subsequently the Florence Academy of Art. At the Academy she further developed her drawing skills, learned classical materials and techniques and studied the history of Renaissance Art. She had the unique experience of copying master drawings from the Gabinetto del Disegno in the Uffizi Galleries. Leah has been a long time member of Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis, Maryland and has studied pastel portrait painting with Bonnie Roth Anderson. Leah also studied at the Corcoran School of Art. She studied watercolor with Frank Webb and Erika Walsh. She has studied portraiture with the well-known artists Cedric and Joanette Egeli since 1993.

Leah is an active member at the Rehoboth Art League in Delaware. She is a Certified Member of the Maryland Society of Portrait Painters, the Maryland Federation of Art, and a member in the Annapolis Watercolor Club. Leah exhibits in a variety of shows and exhibitions throughout Delmarva. Flowers from her garden, still life objects and her children and their friends are gathered as inspiration for her paintings. When she travels the landscapes, towns and countryside become the subject matter of her work. Her paintings hang in many private collections throughout the United States, Italy and Great Britain.

Leah works in her studio near Annapolis, Maryland, traveling and working wherever her inspiration takes her family in the summer.
